    About Tracy Laing

You know that friend that you can always talk to and you leave feeling hopeful…

    Like you’ve got this

I have been that friend my entire life.  My parents often share stories on how caring, empathetic, encouraging, and optimistic I have always been since I was very little.

And I realized that not only am I that great friend and support but I have something to offer the world

I knew that if I took my natural ability to connect with people and learned the clinical skills to become a psychotherapist, I could help so many people to make their lives better, and that’s why I chose this path.

I believe that with the right support everyone has the power to make changes in their life that serve their ultimate and unique goals for wellness, wellbeing, and purpose.

Navigating change is sometimes difficult and frustrating. And while change is sometimes unexpected, it is an inevitable part of life but better yet, you don’t have to do it alone.

Change is often not one dimensional.  All the bumps, twists, turns, as well as the straights are important in informing your path forward.

Worshipping and serving God and people lie at the core of my being.  I am 100% guided in everything I do.  I know the work that I do with my clients and in my community doesn’t come from me… it comes through me.

Traveling, going to the beach, reading, dining out and exploring different cuisines are some of my favorite things to do. Sometimes on the weekends, you may also find me out and about enjoying nature with my family… oftentimes gasping as my children find new ways to test the limits of their flexibility and discover new levels of strength on the playground.

We also love to do what my kiddos call baking…and what I call… really cleaning out flour from every nook and cranny of the kitchen.

So it’s probably no surprise that I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends while the kids have a whale of a time playing with their cousins and enjoy bonding time together.

After a fun, purposeful and intentional day, snuggled up in the coziest corner of my couch..relaxing..and drinking tea with my husband in honor of our family heritage.. is the perfect way I like to end my day.

Still curious about my professional background?

I am a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor.  I credit a number of sources in developing the clinical knowledge and skill set that allow me to be a well rounded therapist serving you with premium care. My alma maters include Rutgers University and Walden University where I earned my BA and MA degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling, respectively. My clinical background and experiences include internships and residency extended across different work sites in multiple domains and diverse settings as well as working in private practice for over a decade.

I like to consider myself as a ‘hope stoker.’  I believe any situation has the potential to get better.  I take pride in serving people, stirring up hope to accomplish their goals, and helping them with taking the next steps to encourage a brighter, meaningful, and more fulfilling future.. and present!

I am so excited to serve you and help empower you to find hope again and to work to accomplish your life goals!
